Eagle County Paramedic Services is enhancing its emergency response capabilities, particularly in outdoor settings. The team recently underwent austere emergency care training to prepare for prolonged medical emergencies in remote areas with limited resources.

Eleven paramedics participated in the four-day training, which included fictional scenarios to test their skills. The goal is to have a team that can safely access and traverse the backcountry while providing a high level of medical care.

Further details about the training and its objectives are available from Eagle County Paramedic Services, which aims to expand its paramedic abilities to handle any emergency situation.
