The White River National Forest is implementing new fire restrictions. As of Friday, all areas within the forest will be under Stage 2 restrictions.

This means that certain activities will be prohibited. Campfires and charcoal use will no longer be allowed anywhere in the forest. This applies to both developed campgrounds and other areas.

Further information about the restrictions is available from the White River National Forest agency. The new rules take effect on Friday, June 26, and apply to all lands managed by the forest.
