Preliminary results are in for the Republican primary for Colorado governor. A ministry leader has taken the lead, with 39.86% of the vote. The candidate's opponent, a state senator, is close behind with 39.43%.

The vote count is not yet final, with an estimated 93% of ballots counted. Another candidate, a state representative, is trailing with under 21% of the vote.
