A fast-moving storm on Monday evening caused flash flooding and debris flows in an area west of New Castle. The storm's impact led to the closure of a section of Interstate 70.

Workers were involved in clearing water and mud from the affected section of the highway. As of Tuesday noon, the closure of I-70 was still in effect between New Castle and another unspecified location.

Further details about the closure and any updates on the status of I-70 can be found through the Aspen Daily News.
