Garfield County commissioners have made a decision regarding the Spring Valley Ranch development plan. The plan, which had been in place for over four decades, has been erased. This change affects nearly 5,900 acres of land located north of Carbondale.

The commissioners approved requests from Spring Valley Holdings LLC, which led to the removal of the development plan. As a result, the land will be returned to rural zoning.

Further details about this decision can be found in the Garfield County records or through the Glenwood Springs Post Independent.
